A blood test is a laboratory method in which a blood sample analyzed to obtain various medical information about a person’s health status. In connection with the Medical-psychological examination (MPU) or Traffic controls The blood test is used to determine Blood alcohol concentration (BAC) or the presence of drugs in a person's body. The test can also be used to check long-term abstinence from alcohol or drugs by analyzing specific biomarkers in the blood. However, this is usually done with a urine sample taken or a Hair analysis carried out.

Blood tests are considered admissible in court if they are taken by qualified medical personnel and analyzed in an accredited laboratory. Depending on the results of the blood test, penalties may be imposed or certain measures may be ordered. Blood tests are invasive methods because they require the insertion of a needle into a vein to obtain a blood sample.
