The Driver Licence Office is a department of the local traffic authority or road traffic department responsible for administering driver licenses. Its responsibilities include issuing, renewing, reissuing, and revoking driver licenses, registering driving schools, and administering driver licensing tests.

Furthermore, the driving licence authority is also responsible for taking appropriate measures in the event of violations of road traffic law or in the event of doubts about the driving suitability of a driver. This may include ordering a Medical-psychological examination (MPU) or participation in certain training courses.

To apply for, renew, or regain a driving license, individuals must appear in person at the relevant driving license office. There, they must present various documents, such as proof of identity, residence, eyesight, first aid skills, and, if applicable, their Driving abilityto complete the necessary formalities.
