MPU self-test: Do I need abstinence – and for how long?

This self-test categorizes your information according to the areas relevant to the MPU (Medical-Psychological Assessment). A1-3 and D1-D3 The basis is the official A and D hypotheses.

  • Alcohol – A1 & A2: Abstinence is always necessary (usually 6–15 months).
  • Alcohol – A3: Abstinence is sometimes useful, but mostly not necessary.
  • Drugs (all categories): Abstinence is always mandatory. - almost always 6-15 months.

Important: This test is only a screening. The actual decision is made during the MPU (Medical-Psychological Assessment) – without thorough preparation and a consultation with a traffic psychologist, the MPU is not possible. Failure rate very high.
